I think we need to get together to finalize golf tournament stuff…AND. eat FRUIT TARTS!
@Laurel – Sounds like a plan! But it’s 5 pm, the night before the tournament… wondering if I still have time to whip up a tart. 😉
Wow! Looks yummy! Mouth watering. I love fruits specially the kiwi.

Recipe Dawn? 🙂
Hi Bhavani! The tart is made w/ a super-easy Sweet Caillat Crust, filled w/ pastry cream, and glazed w/ warm apple jelly over the fruit. I won’t use Kiwi again, since the enzymes in that fruit cause the jelly to become liquid. It doesn’t affect the taste, but makes it a tad more runny than I like, and it’s not as pretty. 🙂
Recipe for the crust is here: http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2009/08/21/FDJS1990BM.DTL
There are lots of pastry cream recipes out there. I’ll email you mine. Thanks for stopping by!
Wow!! the tart looks so delicious… mouth watering 🙂 so which part of the world is the tart from?
Ali – Both the crust and the filling are French recipes. Even though I’ve never been there, tarts always make me think of Paris. 🙂

That looks so delicious! I wish I can make it in my own kitchen. I’ll definitely try it when we finish remodeling. Thanks for inspiring people everywhere!
