In my “real” life, I work in a profession that has nothing to do with food, cooking, recipes, or travel. (Well, sometimes travel. But only for conferences or meetings, which are usually very interesting but not necessarily very fun.) I have a rather geeky, analytical job. It appeals to my meticulous nature and fulfills my need for intellectual challenge. It also requires that I spend a lot of time in front of a computer. In my office. At my desk. A lot of time. In fact, I would say that I spend an inordinate amount of time at my desk. Which also means that I eat a lot of meals at my desk. Monday through Friday, anyway.
So… I thought it would be kind of fun (and a little funny) to add a new feature to my blog: Dawn’s Daily Desk Dining. Also known as Dawn’s D3 or D3 for short. Told you I was geeky.
I can’t promise great photos, since all the pictures will be taken with my Blackberry and they will never, ever be Photoshop’d, Picnik’d, or otherwise edited. Because who has time to edit crappy cell phone pics? And I can’t promise that I’ll actually post “daily” because, let’s face it, I actually have to work during the day. But I can promise little glimpses into my workaday world, desk-appropriate meals and snacks, and the occasional recipe to go along with it all.
You can click on the photos for more information about my D3 meals, which run the gamut from fresh and wholesome to not-so-healthy to just plain strange. You can also click on the “D3” category to the right to see all my D3 posts. I hope you’ll stop by my office to say hi! Virtually, that is.
